1 Inbound deliveries are created within SAP based upon DESADV messages coming from the vendor. 2 The creation of this delivery triggers an interface which sends the inbound delivery towards Manhattan. 3 Within Manhattan an actual GR is performed. 4 By Idoc SAP is updated with the results of the goods receipt. We tried step 4 using the WMMBXY idoc.

We have a EDI partner who is receiving our messages and transforming them before sending it to customer. Now my problem is , since I am using same idoc type (DELVRY03) for both cases therefore wondering how my EDI partner will differentiate whether received message is a INBOUND delivery confirmation or OUTBound delivery notification. regards. The system creates an inbound delivery automatically if you receive a shipping notification via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). You can also create an inbound delivery manually if you do not use EDI to communicate with your supplier. Repack the goods, if necessary.
