May 29, 2006 · The idoc is getting successfully posted and again if i try to change the same delivery through idoc, it says that the delivery does not exist. But if i run transaction VL03N or VL02N with the deleted delivery number it shows me the delivery and allows me to change. It should give me the same message that the delivery does not exist, even if i try to change the delivery through VL02N.

There are two options to delete an IDoc. The first option is to change the IDoc status, e.g. reset it to status 31 (error, no more processing) or to status 38 (IDoc archived). The IDoc is not physically deleted, but the status is reset, so that the IDoc does not stay in a defective status in transaction BD87.

Well, it seems that output is not triggered when delivery is deleted, so your options would be either this one or this one. But I would send a message to SAP about this. If the IDoc is meant to track changes then there should be a way to track deletions too.
