BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE can be used for material document postings which are NOT delivery based. For delivery based postings, search for a suitable function for GI and GR. We use a function 'IDOC_INBOUND_DELVRY' for goods issue of delivery but I feel this is not the best one (it is used by idoc actually) and uses complex segments to do the correct functionality.
