On April 12, 2009, the 100th anniversary of the Easter Sunrise service was held at the top of Mount Rubidoux. Mount Rubidoux Park is open from dawn until dusk. It covers 161 acres (0.65 km2; 0.252 sq mi) and features 3.5 miles (5.6 km) of paved roads and several dirt hiking trails.

As one ascends and descends the mountain one see a beautiful panoramic view of the dry river bed and the city of Riverside. Plan on giving yourself at least 2 to 3 hours to complete the circuit. Also be sure to bring a hat and plenty of water.

Mt. Rubidoux has many historic landmarks and memorials placed on the mountain, including a prominent cross at the summit dedicated to Father Junípero Serra!! Love the Testimonial Peace Tower and the bridge. The Testimonial Peace Tower was built in 1925, dedicated to Frank Miller, as the park was donated by Frank Miller's heir.
