The “Meer Cats” started within a 100 yards East of Robert Moses parking Field 5. Later on there were several people who didn’t bother with the windbreaks and just went naked and put a shirt etc over their groin when anyone got close, much of this surprisingly close to the textile crowd by Field 5.

Robert Moses "beach" is a state park, and except where there's overnight camping NY state parks are generally open from about dawn to dusk. That's usually translated into fixed hours that vary through the year, and in June it's likely to mean 6 or 7AM until 9. At some point later in the summer closing will probably change to 8PM.
