The sea lions were also nice and very lively. They had prairie dogs and beaver like animals called nutrias. And there was a range of big animals such as giraffes, elephants and loads of monkeys from around the world. They also had a great reptile house, look out for the crocodile! The zoo had plenty of restaurants and facilities.

Aug 14, 2011 · First things first, the reptile house, aquarium and butterfly sections of Artis Zoo are truly excellent – a MUST see, but probably not worth the expense, as a general admission ticket is required. It makes it a whole new experience and we loved every minute of it. So glad we travelled a little out of the way for it! The elephants and goats were amazing and we spent a good 3-4 hours here. There are fun aquarium and reptile areas too which we enjoyed and watching the seals underwater in a cinema like tunnel was perfect!7.1K TripAdvisor reviews
