About 10 days ago when I attempted a reboot it brought up the check disk screen and then run the Startup Repair for about 1 hour. After that my computer could start but sometimes it was giving the check disk screen which was not detecting any problems. The computer was continuing to be very slow and not responding.

It's just been in this startup repair screen for hours and hours and days. How long is it normal to run? Is it still working? I can still do other things, so it isn't frozen or locked up. I can't run chkdsk bc it says the volume is write protected. I tried sfc /scannow and it says that a system repair pending requires a reboot to complete.
