Raven Rock State Park is a beautiful place to walk and hike. There are lots of trails, some of them easy, and some are a bit more challenging. The Raven Rock Loop is the most frequented lrail, due to both the Raven rock and the overlook. And the staircase down to the raving rock is rather steep, but worth it.

Raven Rock State Park is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but only about an hour from Raleigh or Fayetteville and it's a great place for a hike or just to enjoy nature. The park is split by the Cape Fear River into a north and south side, where the south side has most of the trails and attractions and the north side has bridle trails.

Raven Rock State Park is located in Harnett County, nine miles west of Lillington and 20 miles east of Sanford on US 421. From US 1, take US 421 east. Turn left onto Raven Rock Road, and follow it for three miles to the park. From I-40, take I-95 south to US 421.
