I´m trying to get Redmine to send mail-notifications. I´ve started with the "send test e-mail notification" test but no succcess. Redmine says "A mail has been sent to xxx" but it does not get sent. I have two linux servers in my network: A mail server at fixed 192.168.0.6 (hostname neo) and the redmine server (hostname morfeo).

RE: Bitnami Redmine in AWS: Cannot Send Test Email - Added by Jan from Planio www.plan.io about 3 years ago I don't think this problem is related to Redmine specifically, but to the way you connect to your mail server via SMTP in general.

Test e-mail works but notifications aren't send Added by Nathan Rijksen over 9 years ago I'm running the latest version of redmine and cannot get the email notifications to work.

Login to Redmine (as an administrator), go to / admin / settings / email notifications and hit the 'send test email' at bottom right 7. You should get a green 'OK' message at the top go to 8. If not there will be an error message from the Gmail server that you may need to resolve.

"Email delivery is not configured, and notifications are disabled. Configure your SMTP server in config/configuration.yml and restart the application to enable them." This doesn't make sense since the configuration.yml file is there and I've requested that it uses sendmail.

After making any changes in this configuration file, you will need to restart the application server for them to take effect. Test whether your configuration is correct in the application - Adminsitration >> Settings >> Email notifications - Send a test email. Example configuration. yml Configurations.
