Yes - or at least I did and got a signature conformation for a letter recently. How "useful" it is I guess will depend on whether it is actually going to a normal address and the business has po box numbers to assist in sorting or if it is your small time user where the mail goes to a 3rd party company who hold it or just bulk mail it on.
