Jul 06, 2010 · The difference with recorded delivery vs non recorded though is that it is a very brazen (or thick) buyer who claims not to have received an item if they have already signed for it (and they would lose a paypal claim which they would otherwise win)

However, Recorded delivery only provides proof of postage - not proof of receiving it - because no one needs to sign for the item. May 07, 2011 · We have a customer who has claimed that the item has not been received but the evidence from the courier is that the parcel was signed for, albeit by an 'unknown' person to the customer. The customer says 'A signature is not proof of delivery as anyone can sign for it and say it has been delivered'.
