Oct 10, 2014 · Hi, As far as I am aware the term ‘recorded delivery’ is not used now- being replaced by ‘signed for’ which as the name implies is a signed for service which is adequate proof normally that ‘someone’ has signed for the item at the delivery address.

Surely if the seller does not have the item then I do not see why said seller cannot just say, instead of dragging a case on over a month or two. Anyway... as an occasional seller, I do keep the proof of postage for quite a while because you never know whether someone will decide to not have received it.
