I'm a huge fan of lighthouses so I knew the Point Pinos Lighthouse would be the highlight of our visit to Monterey. Because of the limited hours (it's only open 1-4 pm from Thursday-Monday), we opted to stay in the area for an additional day just to see this lighthouse. I'm so glad we did because this lighthouse was worth the wait!
