Two professional hangers could hang that in 1/2 day easily, assuming some soffits and multiple corners. (example, we once had a crew of 5 guys hang a basement of 50 sheets in 2 and 1/2 hours) Then, corner bead and tape it with 3 coats by the end of the first day..... (9-10 hour day using quick dry durabond for the 1st and 2nd coats)

The drywall compound should be mixed ever 20 to 30 minutes while you are taping. If the drywall compound is too dry or stiff, it will not absorb into the paper tape and the paper tape will not seat itself properly in the drywall compound. This is one of the biggest problems that home handymen face when taping.

Small job should add 1 to 2 hours for hanging and taping each. 1 hr to stock, 1 hr to clean up, and 1 hr for dump. Add in material costs, dump fees, and 5% profit, and 10% overhead. My hourly wage would include all employee costs such as workmans comp insurance, and unemployment if applicable. H HHP Registered Joined Jan 7, 2014 2 Posts

First coat: All drywall joints and corners are covered with Durabond. Paper tape gets applied to all the angles, and the corner beads get installed. Second coat: Drywall compound is put on everything, left to dry, and then sanded. Third coat: One last layer of compound is applied, and then, (this is where it gets messy!) the final sand.
