If it helps, I have a PowerShell script that takes logon hours in binary form in a comma delimited file, converts the binary bits in local time into hex bytes in UTC, and assigns the resulting byte array value to the user logonHours attribute. The comma delimited file has one user per line, with users specified by DN.

The LogonHours attribute has Active Directory syntax OctetString, which is a "Byte Array". This program converts the the 7 binary strings into an array of 21 bytes, which is 168 bits, one for each hour of the week.

Technically logonhours is a byte array not a string. Also your code is using the string "null" as opposed to the value $null. Also, if you're already using get-aduser, why not just use $users = get-aduser -filter {enabled -eq $true} -property logonhours

Note, the in the MS View a 1 below an hour means that the user is allowed to log on, from that hour to the next e.g. a 1 below 5 means allowed to logon from 5:00 till 6:00. so you can easy see the allowed logon Times from script. so then now the script : # Function Get-Logonhours. # Gets the Allowed logonhour of a given AD user.

The cmdlet is run from an Active Directory provider drive. A default naming context or partition is defined for the AD LDS environment. To specify a default naming context for an AD LDS environment, set the msDS-defaultNamingContext property of the Active Directory directory service agent object (nTDSDSA) for the AD LDS instance.
