You've demonstrated that you're a good student, but taking 21 credit hours is A LOT for ANYONE to tackle. Nevermind trying to handle that and working part-time. Taking an extra year in between undergrad and graduate studies isn't a big deal and will likely bring you much less stress, so I'd go with that.

I'm thinking of taking 21 credits this fall. They could consist of bio, chem, calc, foreign language, psych, and art history.

ITS NOT WORTH IT!!! ππΎππΎππΎ i started off college with 16 credits from putting in work in high school. Then took anywhere between 16-18 credit hours since (2 years later). I also spent half of that time working 35 hours a week and the other half working 20 hours, then 3-7 on research. It is VERY easy to burn out quickly.

Each credit hour corresponds to a minimum of 3 hours of student engagement per week for a traditional 14-week course or 6 hours per week for a 7-week course. This time may be spent on discussions, readings and lectures, study and research, and assignments. Most courses at AIC are three credit hours. Credits to be earned.

PurpleTitan February 1, 2015, 10:03pm #13. @bookmama22β, some universities have that 4 year requirement. In any case, whether 18-21 credit hours is insane or not depends a lot on your major and school. Also, many colleges award credit for APβs, some for dual credit/CC classes. Some for CLEP.
