    In May 1965, the Library was moved across the road and hours increased to 24 per week. Through the combined efforts of the Friends of the Rocklin Library, the City of Rocklin, and the County of Placer, plus Federal funding through the California State Library, a new 5,264 square foot branch library was built and dedicated April 28, 1985.

    The new Auburn City Library was dedicated on May 26, 1909. In 1937, free library service for those who lived outside the city limits came to fruition when the Placer County Library was added to the lower floor of the City Library Building. By 1958, the county library outgrew the space and relocated to the Shepard Square Building.

    The Granite Bay Library opened August 3, 1991, at 8715 Auburn-Folsom Road in the Granite Bay Village Shopping Center. Through the efforts of Placer County and the Granite Bay Friends of the Library, and with California Library Construction and Renovation Bond Act funds, a 10,240 square foot building was built at the library's current location.
