And the staff was very nice, offering to let us stay past close to try even more than the allotted 6! They don't offer a whole lot in the way of wine tchotkies, but I'm ok with that, since they have a lot of good (and very reasonably priced) wines."

Peninsula Cellars is a member of WOMP (Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula); a trail of 9 wineries, each with their own character. This is one of the smaller wine tasting locations, their vineyard is elsewhere, but coolest ones as well. They converted an old one-room school house into this tasting room. They charge $5 for a sample of five wines.

Door Peninsula Winery is a great winery experience. A must stop while in Door County. They have a large selection of wines, we always buy some of their Sweet Cherry wine to take back home to friends. They also have a large assortment of sauces, dips, cherry products, mustards, and cheese available to sample.
