There are extensive winery gardens including a wetlands area with several lakes. Dine inside the tastefully decorated restaurant by the open fire or outside amounts the breath-taking gardens. Pegasus Bay has been awarded NZ’s best winery restaurant 7 times in the past 10 years in the Cuisine Magazine’s Good Food awards.

Pegasus Bay offers free wine tastings in their beautiful rustic tasting room that overlooks the many barrels of wine. My favorite is the Sauvignon-Semillion 2012. It's crisp with a lime/rock-melon taste and is absolutely refreshing for any time of the day; we buy a bottle of this anytime we stop by.

He has worked numerous vintages in other parts of the world, with a particular focus on Burgundy, and in 2020 would have had his 28th vintage at Pegasus Bay.
