From out of the box straight to panel prep. Ran my TV for 100 hours straight, no normal viewing, on 1080p color slides (file included with this post), with D Nice's settings. If you follow these settings exactly, the slides should be on a continual loop of 30 seconds per frame. I let that run from Monday to Friday.

To check the hours used on your Philips TV you have to go in the service menu. To enter service-menu type: 062596 Be careful NOT to change anything in the service-menu. Entering service menu would void the warranty, but I was glad I checked my new 37PFL9604 anyway: it already had 3400 hours on it

Funny you say that. I've been looking over at the forums from the US and I was able find a few post of peoples recommended offsets in the service menu of the GT30 but none of the ST30. Sure it can be harmful but why not do the research first and learn about the service menu and how to make safe adjustments.
