As a bookstore, Orinda Books is a great little local shop; as a venue for art exhibits, it has potential, but IMHO, they need to treat artists with more respect. I listened to staff interact with customers, members of the community, and if Danny Roden had spoken to any of them the way he spoke to me, the store would be out of business.

Orinda Books, located in Village Square since 1976, is proud to be Contra Costa County’s largest independent bookstore. Come in and relax. There’s plenty of comfortable seating inside. We have over 16,000 books on our shelves, but if we don't have the one you are looking for we can (in most cases) have it ready to pick up the very next day.
