Optus cable is pathetic during peak times in my street, not just for me but about 12 others. I have complained so many times that I am currently getting a $20.00 a month credit. The NBN will not reach my street until second half of 2017, and it will use the existing Optus cable, as Telstra cable is not available in my street.

I'm lucky enough to have Optus Cable broadband at the moment which gives me an option up to 100mb/s. In reality however this tops at 45mb/s off-peak and comes grinding to a halt during Netflix hours. I've now got the option of NBN which is offering similar advertised speeds.
