With more parking and upgraded light poles I still see the same place I spent my childhood. The playground is a bit rundown in spots (missing swings) but the awesome historic merry-go-round (still $1) makes up for that!

Huge beach, with plenty of parking (free), and parking is a five minute walk through a shaded park to the beach. Park is well maintained and has an antique carousel (closed during summer if 2020 due to Covid). There is also a long pier way out into Lake Ontario and a restored lighthouse. Across the street is an Abbot’s frozen custard store.
