The museum costs 3 dollars and has many informative signs. It gives the history of the Shasta area, but also if the gold rush era, so you do not have to be local for it to be interesting. For the actual museum you do not need much time, maybe 30-45 minutes, and then you can go for a walk in the rest of the history rica life area.
