This review isn't really about the visitor center but rather the entire island experience. We took the ferry from Hatteras. Arriving at 9:30 on a Thursday morning in mid May we had to wait an hour to get on a ferry. Those who arrived even 30 minutes later, given the lines, were probably waiting closer to two hours.
