Apr 16, 2008 · Based on those numbers in the openttd wiki there should be a optimal delivery distance. It varies based on train speed. If we transport coal (penalty starts ticking after 7 days) we get: p = c * a * d * (1 - (t-7) * 0.004) Where p = payment, a = amount transported, d = distance, t = time in days and c is a constant based on what we transport.
