As a pilot project, Library staff has selected 24 hour-long tapes, representing the "best of these programs," for digitization. This project's goal is to digitize approximately 24 audiotapes of lectures, conversations, and interviews held at the Library over the last 20 years and put them on the Library's website so as to ensure broad access to local, national and international audiences.
The New York Public Library (NYPL) has been an essential provider of free books, information, ideas, and education for all New Yorkers for more than 100 years.

Any 24-hour libraries or study spots? My apartment is sometimes tough to concentrate in, and I'd like to be able to go somewhere to work on things. Unfortunately, I work until 6 or 7pm on the weekdays, and I'm often asleep until 1 or 2pm on the weekends, so it's tough to take advantage of the NYPL system.
