The New York SkyRide is an expensive, disappointing attempt to give you a Disney ride type of experience at the Empire State Building. It's a motion simulator ride, with a long "preshow" that is basically a long ad for all the other expensive stuff you should do while in NY (helicopter rides, etc.), broadcasted on multiple TVs at earsplitting volume levels.
