Nov 25, 2017 · I always do several quick scans a week and they take on average between 5 to 8 minutes and scanning just over 11,000 files. Now the last two quick scans now take between 29 to 36 minutes to scan just over 11,000 files. Why is it taking longer to quick scan?

Jun 04, 2017 · Full system scans do take longer in the beginning. Once it has been done a couple of times, then certain files will be skipped as trusted files and other files will be skipped also. Schedule the scan weekly and set it for overnight while you are sleeping. Running Norton Insight scans helps to shorten the scan time also. Thanks.t.
