New Rez is fairly close to everything. It's about a 10-minute walk from campus, but there are some great things along the way, such as the McGill ghetto, Second Cup, a used bookstore, grocery stores, and more. Between C4 and New Rez, I'd suggest New Rez because their cafeteria has better variety. Other than that you shouldn't worry about socializing, Floor Fellows do a great job at creating a good environment for 'bonding'. La Citadelle is pretty new so I haven't heard much of it, sorry.
