The Souq is open everyday from 9am till 1pm then again from 4pm to 9pm. In the morning certain shops don't open till 10 and in the afternoon some till 430 so go after that to be safe. It's not seasonal, but on Fridays it doesn't open in the morning. Be sure to go in the first alleyway on the right when you first enter the souq from the main ...

Find the gold souk - first left alley as you enter the Muttrah souk - and feast your eyes on the gold necklaces, earrings, bracelets, anklelets and so on. The souk is extensive and all the gold shops together. Really worth a tour and if you end up buying something, the sets of gold jewellery represent a good value for money buy!

Mutrah Souq. Many people come to Mutrah Corniche just to visit the souq, which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market albeit housed under modern timber roofing.
