Like others have said, birds, for the biggest example, have been singing and dancing forever. Mating, and just plain feeling good, comes from both music and dance. I like to think that dinosaurs (many of whom are closer to birds than human mammals) got singing and dancing down to a tee long before us humans were wondering which came first.
