The park was built in the 1950's there is a small walking trail and 6 large firepits on the beach. There is lots of pay parking. First lit in 1906, the 38-foot tall Mukilteo Lighthouse is still in operation, helping not just ferries, but all the boats that ply the Salish Sea.

Mukilteo Light Station and Lighthouse Park is a great way to stretch your legs before docking on to the ferry. We visited the Mukilteo Light Station and Lighthouse Park, as it's near the ferry terminal to Whidbey Island, and we had some time to kill before the next ferry arrived for boarding. I love how accessible this park is.

There are limited parking spaces available, and you have to pay for parking from 8am-8pm. The first hour is $2.25. Pretty reasonable for the lighthouse, view, park to walk the dogs and clean public restrooms. The lighthouse was closed when we visited.
