The short story is we ended up canoeing until about 3 am, lost most of our belongings in the river when we tipped (and could see nothing) and were terrified someone would drown/get lost because we kept tipping (no light to avoid hazards) my husband ended up dragging our canoes with us sitting in them the last hour of the trip. It was hands down the worst experience we ever had as a family.
