A New yorker trying on Connecticut's Apizza! Let me say the place was crowded and modern Apizza was one of the top rated restaurants for Apizza in Connecticut. The pizza crust was good but a little too soggy for my liking. I like the crust a little crispy but this was soft, more like a puta bread consistency that tasted good.

Was driving through Connecticut over the weekend and knew that I would be passing by New Haven so why not grab some awesome pizza. I have been to Frank Pepe's a bunch over the years but never to Modern Apizza. After having it for the first time, I will definitely be back. We got a small white clam pie and a large half meat, half plain pie.

Modern Apizza, one of the big three in New Haven, is truly legendary. Inside it is busy with wooden booths and wooden tables & chairs. Seated next to us was a group of people on a New Haven Pizza Tour. We decided on one of the pies they recommended, plain grated cheese with garlic. The pizza did NOT disappoint. The sauce was absolutely DELICIOUS.
