It started with rowing classes in 2001 and then more in 2005. Since they're affiliated with SDSU, USD and UCSD, it's easy to sign up for a class through the school if you attend one of them or stay affiliated after you graduate.

I absolutely LOVE Mission Bay Aquatic Center! The staff is friendly, and there's a large parking lot (which still tends to get full pretty quick). The prices for the water sports rentals are extremely reasonable---it's $26 to rent a double kayak for 2.5 hours (this might be the best deal in town!!

Mission Bay Aquatic Center (MBAC) is an instructional watersports facility owned and operated by Associated Students of San Diego State University and UC San Diego Recreation. Students at those two universities are provided a discount on programs, but the center is open to the public.
