Very helpful and nice staff. Hours of operation are short but it's worth checking out if you like history. It's our first year here on Topsail island so it was neat to read and understand about "operation bubble bee"."

Tales of pirates and how the island got its name, to the missile program. There was also an amazing collection of sea shells behind glass. Everyone in our group from 5-71 enjoyed this small museum. It is at the south end of the island. Be sure to check the hours before you go The day we went they were only open in the late afternoon.

About. The Missiles and More Museum came to life when a group of citizens were concerned for the future of the historical Assembly Building. The building, constructed 1946, was used by the government to assemble missiles for a secret missile operation being conducted on Topsail Island.

Located at 720 Channel Blvd. The one-mile stretch of land known as Ocean City between North Topsail Beach and Surf City was once owned by a white Lawyer named Edgar Yow who wanted to provide the opportunity for African American’s to own beach property against the attitudes of the 1940's.
