The beach has been established in 1937 bt the mayor. It is in the municipal park. It is one of the largest mineral pools in Bulgaria. There is one 50 meters long pool with cold water and one 33 meter long pool with hot water. Both come from the hot thermal springs in Velingrad. The cold pool is a bit too cold and the hot pool too hot.

Mineral beach offers chairs by the water, lots of shade, free and plentiful dead sea mud, a hot indoor sulpher pool and a basic cafeteria. My main critisism about this place were the horrible showers and toilets. In the womens area, there were only 2 working showers and so there was a queue of about 6 women before me waiting for a shower. ...

Drove for many hours to get to the mineral beach car cruise. We were a large group.we were so excited to check this place out. When we got to the show there was no where to park on pavement. There was over 50 spots with no cars in them but they all did have cones or chairs so you could not park there.
