To 10:00 a.m. The full hookup sites felt a little like a parking lot, but there was a large area of grass and trees behind each site with the standard fire rings and picnic tables. FRIANT -The site of old town of Millerton, first county seat in Fresno county, rapidly is emerging from the water of Lake Millerton. The site, now barren of buildings, was seen for the last time in 1944, when the valves in Friant dam were closed and the town was engulfed by the rising waters in the filling reservoir.
