Putting in the toll booth and closing it down at 10:00 PM is the best thing to ever happen for Millcreek Canyon and those of us that love it so much. Although there are lots of improved picnic spots it remains relatively quiet and peaceful, most of the time, but especially in the mornings.

Early morning (before 10) was great. chilly in the canyon (first mile or so) and once you hit the sun it warms up. but after 10am, the crowds start coming and the trail melts into mud. spikes were helpful in the last 1/2 mile, but snow was intermittent.
