The cathedral has a beautiful and peaceful ambience. The light from the stained glass is soft and calming and everywhere! Some of the windows have been created by famous artists such as Marc Chagall. In addition, the Gregorian chant was first created in Metz in the 8th century. Right across from the Cathedral is the wonderful Covered Market.
