I have been buying from Mengrai Kilns for 15 years and have never been disappointed. The operation to relaunch the lost art of Thai celadon manufacturing took off over 40 years ago when two Englishmen, one the British Consul and the other an engineer joined forces with a Thai doctor to produce celadon of the highest quality using traditional methods.

Mengrai Kilns is a great place to check out some beautiful handmade pottery in the Northern Thai tradition. It is a very serene place with loads of handmade pieces to look at and some lovely gardens too. Perhaps the best part is that no one bothers you.
