Had the unfortunate experience of losing my glasses while staying at the Decameron in Bucerias. The Bucerias facebook page recommended going to the optician in the Mega Commercial centre on the outskirts of Bucerias. Had an eye test and a replacement set of single vision glasses supplied within 24 hours.

Mega Soriana Bucerias has a fresh fish section, meat counter, bakery, groceries, clothes, electronics, etc. Try the local brands rather than the imports, you might be surprised by the quality and you will save because of their aggressive pricing. TIP: There are a few price check stations around the store if you want to verify a price.

We're staying in Sayulita over the Christmas holiday, and our flight arrives in PV at 3:30pm on Dec 24. On the way to Sayulita we want to get groceries at the Mega Grocery in Bucerias but I wonder if the fact it is Christmas eve will affect their opening hours (which I understand is 7am-11pm daily). Does anyone know what their opening hours will be on Dec 24?

If you can donate individual sized drinks or snacks, they can be dropped off with Rachel or the staff at the Bahia Fitness Bucerias gym next to Mega in Bucerias. Check their Facebook page for hours. Gatorade, electrolyte drinks, coconut water, juice, bottled water and soft drinks are all good.

The Mega is at the south end of Bucerias, on the main road (200), just north of the last exit in Nuevo Vallarta for Flamingos. It has a giant orange pelican sign that is 50 feet high, so I doubt you'll have trouble finding it.
