The Mead Art Museum is housed in a gorgeous spot on the lovely Amherst College campus, a few minutes walk from town center [where tons of restaurants with college prices abound]. The building is a bit hard to find, but a stroll around the campus is a treat in itself.

Museum Hours. Tuesday 10 am–6 pm. Wednesday 10 am–6 pm. Thursday 10 am–6 pm. Friday 10 am–6 pm. Saturday 10 am–6 pm. Sunday 10 am–6 pm. MAD will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Nov 25) and Christmas Day (Dec 25). The Museum will close at 3 pm on Dec 24 and Dec 31.
