    Oct 18, 2011 · If you fly 100 miles in a 744 or A380, you will be spending ~3 hours on the ground and 1 hour flying. I didn't do the math, and it may indeed be true that an airline may make higher profit than flying 8 hours per 3 hour turnaround, but I just wanted to point out that there is already a cost (in time) in place to prevent you from doing that.
