It marks the entrance of Port Clyde Harbor and at least one other light has been in this location. The light is rather unusual in that the bottom half is made of granite from the local quarries but the top half is brick.1 Yelp review

The lighthouse is quite picturesque on the rocky shore and attached walkway. The museum is in the former keeper's house and no admission is charged. What a beautiful house with a nice view of the ocean! We got to Marshall Point just before the fog rolled in - good thing we took photos of the lighthouse BEFORE going to see the museum!4.5/5(295)
