When you are in Paris, you must go to Rue Mouffetard on Sunday around 11:00 AM. Take the metro to the Place Monge station, and you can do a little shopping, too, at the outdoor market there. To the rear of the market, rue Ortolan leads to Mouffetard, and once you cross Mouffetard, the street name changes to rue du Pot de Fer, which is a pedestrian-only street lined with cafes and shops.

Not exacthly sure what you are hoping to find, but there are a couple of aspects to rue Mouffetard - actual shops, boutiques, little hotels, etc, and also the open air food market, near place St Medard. Established shops keep normal hours, from around 10AM to 7PM, and some close for lunch at mid-day. The open-air market begins around 9AM, and is pretty much done by 1PM.
