Mad River Glen is by far the worst alpine experience I've ever had (twice). As a novice telemarker 5 years ago I made the trip for a lesson as the mountain is hailed as a Mecca for telemark. I found a hill with a small mud parking lot on a highway with a Northeast aspect (which means its in the shade all day).
