The Tower officially opened on January 10, 1973. In 1984, the Library Block and Tower were both named in honour of R.A. MacKimmie, chair of the Board of Governors, and donor to the university. When all library functions moved to the new Taylor Family Digital Library in 2010-2011, the Tower became home to a number of administrative offices.

They enrolled more students this year than previous years and cut down on the already limited study spaces 🙄. Anyways, there's usually spots on the second floor of earth sciences as well as in the cubicles just down the steps near the sciences theatres. The SU also made a map of many study spaces around campus. level 2.
