The funicular only comes every half hour, so we bought our tickets for 7 euros and had a wait of about 10 minutes. There were about 10 seats to sit in while you wait, which was nice. The best part of the whole experience was that the little store where you buy the funicular tickets had cold water for sale, which we needed after our hot trek.

Normally you can pay only by cash, but if you ask the lady at the cashier, you can go inside the shop where you can also pay by card.
